Biography
Choi Sung-Fai is a Hong Kong cinematographer, also credited as Johnny Choi Sui-Fai and Jimmy Choi. He has served as director of photography on films including The Mermaid (2016), Journey to the West: Conquering the Demons (2013), Young Detective Dee: Rise of the Sea Dragon (2013), The Taking of Tiger Mountain (2014) and Detective Dee: The Four Heavenly Kings (2018).
He began in the camera department as a focus puller and later worked as a camera operator on Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon (2000) and The Promise (2005). Earlier cinematography credits include Naked Weapon (2002), Flying Swords of Dragon Gate (2011) and Special ID (2013). He has also acted as associate producer on Happiness (2016).
