Biography
Chris Alcaide, also credited as John Thomas Berger, was an American film and television actor. He is known for supporting roles in Westerns and crime films, including the part of George Rose in the 1953 Columbia picture The Big Heat.
Born in Youngstown, Ohio, Alcaide served in the United States Army from 1943 to 1946. After the war he moved to Hollywood and began appearing in uncredited film roles before gaining steady work in television Western series such as Gunsmoke, Perry Mason, The Outer Limits and The Big Valley.
In 2003 he received a Golden Boot Award for his contributions to the Western genre. Alcaide died in Palm Springs, California, in 2004.
