Biography
Christa Lang was a German-American actress and screenwriter. Born in Winterberg, Germany, she moved to Paris at the age of seventeen, where she worked as an au pair and studied acting before making her screen debut in 1963.
She appeared in several French New Wave films, including an uncredited role as 1st Seductress Third Class in Jean-Luc Godard's Alphaville (1965). Lang frequently collaborated with her husband, director Samuel Fuller, whom she married in 1967; their credits together include Dead Pigeon on Beethoven Street (1972), The Big Red One (1980) and White Dog (1982). Other film roles include Mrs Hosquith in What's Up, Doc? (1972) and Toni's mother in No Fear, No Die (1990). She also wrote screenplays and produced films through their company Chrisam Films.
Lang died in Los Angeles in 2026.
