Biography
Christoph Schrewe is a German film and television director. Born in Stuttgart in 1964, he began his career in Germany directing television films and early short and feature films that screened at the Berlinale, including Später Sommer (1989) and Boomtown (1993). He later directed international feature films such as Post Impact (2004), The Conclave (2006) and the mini-series The Sea Wolf (2008).
Schrewe has directed episodes of numerous international series, including Borgia (2011–2014, 12 episodes), Mr. Robot (2015), Criminal Minds, Versailles, Berlin Station, The Purge (2019) and Snowpiercer (2021–2024, 11 episodes). He has also worked as a producer and executive producer on series including Snowpiercer and Mayor of Kingstown.
