Biography
Christopher Ball is a Canadian cinematographer and member of the Canadian Society of Cinematographers. He graduated from Ryerson Polytechnical University in Toronto with a Bachelor of Applied Arts degree. His early interest in film began at age nine after discovering a home movie camera.
Ball has worked as director of photography on the television series From (2022–) and Private Eyes (2017–2018). He has served as second unit director of photography on Aquaman (2018) and Anne with an E (2017), and as camera operator on The Lighthouse (2019). His credits also include Still the Water (2020) and The Corridor (2012). He has specialised in Arctic, adventure and aerial cinematography, and has received a Gemini nomination along with several cinematography awards at the Atlantic Film Festival.
