Biography
Christopher Russell is a British television and radio scriptwriter. He began writing radio plays in the mid-1970s while working as a postman and became a full-time scriptwriter in 1980. His television credits include numerous episodes of The Bill (1985–1994), A Touch of Frost (1994–1996), Cadfael (1996–1998), EastEnders (1985) and Look and Read (1983–1988).
Russell wrote screenplays for two episodes of Midsomer Murders (2000–2002) and one episode of The Ruth Rendell Mysteries (2000). He has also written children’s novels, often in collaboration with his wife Christine Russell, and lives on the Isle of Wight.
