Biography
Christopher Sandford is a British actor born on 6 June 1939 in Croydon, Surrey, England. He has appeared in films and television since the late 1950s, with credits including A French Mistress (1960), Half a Sixpence (1967) as Sid, Before Winter Comes (1969), The Kremlin Letter (1970) as Rudolph, and Die Screaming Marianne (1971) as Sebastian Smith.
Sandford played Chris in Deep End (1970), Walter Potts in Coronation Street (1963–1964), Mr Toots in the television series Dombey and Son (1969), and Onslow in The Persuaders! (1971). He also worked as a singer and radio DJ in the 1960s. In later years he has written several books on fly-fishing.
