Biography
Cindy O'Connor is a composer and performer working in film, television and theatre. She collaborated with Mark Isham and Michael D. Simon on the score for all seven seasons of the ABC series Once Upon a Time (2011–2018), receiving a 2018 Emmy nomination for Outstanding Music Composition for a Series (Original Dramatic Score) for the episode "Leaving Storybrooke".
Her other television credits include the Starz series Crash and the NBC series The Black Donnellys, as well as several Hallmark romantic comedies. Feature film scores include Forgiving the Franklins (2007), Not Forgotten (2009), Deany Bean is Dead (2018) and Red River Road (2020). She has also composed additional music for films such as Warrior (2011) and Dolphin Tale (2011).
O'Connor began her career in musical theatre, with works including the award-winning All That He Was, La Llorona/The Crying Woman (Off-Broadway) and Flies! The Musical. She has received fellowships including the Sundance Lab for Feature Film Scoring and has performed as a keyboard player and singer with Pat Benatar.
