Biography
Claire Tailyour is a director and writer. Born in Johannesburg, she grew up in the UK and trained in the United States, completing an MFA at USC School of Cinematic Arts and a BA at UCLA and the University of Sussex.
She has directed episodes of several television series, including three episodes of Beyond Paradise (2024), thirteen episodes of Phoenix Rise (2023), three episodes of The Wives (2024) and three episodes of The Blame (2026). Other directing credits include Waterloo Road, Moving On and Hollyoaks, as well as documentaries and short films screened at festivals including Sundance.
As a writer, her debut feature script Mother Wild won the BAFTA Rocliffe New Writing Film award and the PAGE Award in 2020. She has also directed second unit on series including Wild Bill and Deceit.
