Biography
Clive Driscoll is a former Detective Chief Inspector with the Metropolitan Police. He joined the force in 1971 and rose through the ranks, serving in roles including the Racial and Violent Crime Task Force. He is best known for leading the reinvestigation from 2006 that secured convictions in the 1993 murder of Stephen Lawrence.
Driscoll retired from the Met in 2014. In 2015 he published the memoir In Pursuit of the Truth, which formed the basis for the three-part ITV drama Stephen (2021). He served as a consultant on the series, in which he is portrayed by Steve Coogan.
