Biography
Colin Carberry is a Northern Irish writer for film, theatre and television, based in Belfast. He co-wrote the screenplay for the 2012 film Good Vibrations with Glenn Patterson.
The film, directed by Lisa Barros D'Sa and Glenn Leyburn, is a biopic of record-shop owner Terri Hooley and his role in Belfast's punk scene. Carberry and Patterson received a BAFTA nomination for Outstanding Debut by a British Writer, Director or Producer, and won Best Script awards at the Irish Writers Guild Awards and the Dinard British Film Festival.
Carberry has written an episode of the television series The Frankenstein Chronicles (2017) and contributed to a stage musical adaptation of Good Vibrations. He has a background in short fiction and arts journalism, and has several film and theatre projects in development.
