Biography
Cookie Mueller was an American actress and writer. She appeared in several of filmmaker John Waters' early films, including Multiple Maniacs (1970), Pink Flamingos (1972) as Cookie, Female Trouble (1974) as Concetta and Desperate Living (1977) as Flipper. She also had roles in Polyester (1981) and other independent films such as Smithereens (1982) and Variety (1985).
After her film work, Mueller moved to New York City and wrote the health column 'Ask Dr. Mueller' for the East Village Eye. She later served as an art critic for Details magazine and published short prose and a memoir.
Mueller died in New York on 10 November 1989.
