Biography
Craig Gerard is an American television writer and producer. He began working on the CBS series How I Met Your Mother (2005) in production staff roles from its first season in 2005, later serving as a writer's assistant and script coordinator before joining the writing staff. He received writing credits on several episodes, often in collaboration with Matthew Zinman, and advanced to roles including story editor, executive story editor and co-producer through the show's run until 2014.
Gerard has written for other series including Trial & Error (2017), Me, Myself & I (2017), A to Z (2014) and Telenovela (2015–2016). He has also worked as a producer on shows such as Doogie Kameāloha, M.D. (2021–2023), Broke (2020) and Bad Thoughts (2025). He is originally from East Meadow, New York.
