Biography
Curtis Cokes (1937–2020) was an American actor and former professional boxer. He played Earl in the 1972 film Fat City, directed by John Huston.
A world welterweight boxing champion between 1966 and 1969, Cokes made a small number of television appearances connected to the sport, including on ABC's Wide World of Sports and HBO Boxing After Dark. After his retirement from boxing he worked as a trainer.
