Biography
Cynthia Charette is an American production designer whose credits include the Netflix series You (2018–). She is a graduate of Syracuse University in theatre design and visual arts and has studied with the Royal Shakespeare Company and the Royal Academy of Dramatic Arts.
Her film work encompasses Pumpkinhead (1988), Shocker (1989), Wes Craven's New Nightmare (1994), Austin Powers: International Man of Mystery (1997), A Very Brady Sequel (1996), Scary Movie 2 (2001) and Judy Moody and the Not Bummer Summer (2011). On television she has designed Jane the Virgin (2014–2016), I Feel Bad (2018) and The Mysterious Benedict Society (2021–2022).
Charette won a Primetime Emmy Award in 2023 for production design on the second season of The Mysterious Benedict Society. She is a member of the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences and has received nominations from the Art Directors Guild and the CableACE Awards.
