Biography
Da'Vine Joy Randolph is an American actress. Born on 21 May 1986 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, she trained at Temple University, graduating with a BFA in musical theatre, and received an MFA from the Yale School of Drama in 2011.
She first gained recognition for her Broadway debut as Oda Mae Brown in Ghost: The Musical (2012), earning a Tony Award nomination for Best Featured Actress in a Musical. Randolph has appeared in films such as Dolemite Is My Name (2019) and The Holdovers (2023), playing Mary Lamb.
For her performance in The Holdovers she won the Academy Award for Best Supporting Actress, along with a BAFTA and a Golden Globe.
