Biography
Daf James, also credited as Dafydd James, is a Welsh playwright, screenwriter, composer and performer working in English and Welsh across theatre, radio, television and film.
He studied English literature at the University of Edinburgh and trained at the London International School of Performing Arts. His stage works include the award-winning Llwyth (Tribe) and My Name is Sue. On television he has written for Gwaith/Cartref, Crackanory and Psychobitches.
James created and wrote the three-part BBC One drama Lost Boys and Fairies (2024), which he developed through the BBC Writersroom TV Drama Writers’ Programme with Duck Soup Films. The bilingual series draws on themes from his own experience as an adoptive parent.
