Biography
Daisy Granados is a Cuban actress. She was born on 9 December 1942 in Cienfuegos and studied drama at the Escuela Nacional de Arte in Havana. She made her film debut in La decisión (1964) and has appeared in more than 40 films.
Granados is known for her role as Elena in Memories of Underdevelopment (1968). She won the Best Actress award at the 11th Moscow International Film Festival in 1979 for Portrait of Teresa (1979) and served on the jury at the 14th Moscow International Film Festival in 1985. Other notable credits include Cecilia (1982), 7 Days in Havana (2012) and Las profecías de Amanda (1999). She was married to director Pastor Vega until his death in 2005.
