Biography
Danièle Hazan was a French actress and voice artist. Born on 4 December 1948 in Paris, she died on 12 February 2024 in Boulogne-Billancourt. She appeared in a small number of live-action roles, including sœur Viviane in Le Retour des bidasses en folie (1983) and a part in Le bahut va craquer (1981).
Hazan worked primarily in dubbing and voice acting. She provided the voice of Maîtresse in the animated film Titeuf (2011) and voiced multiple characters, including the mother, teacher and Aunt Monique, in the associated television series. She also dubbed Fiona Shaw as Petunia Dursley in several Harry Potter films and portrayed Clarabelle Cow in Disney productions. Hazan served as an artistic director on some projects and as a trainer at the Institut des métiers du doublage.
