Biography
Darren Swimmer is an American screenwriter and television producer. He began writing for television on the series Silk Stalkings in 1993 and co-wrote the 1994 television film Natural Selection.
Swimmer is best known for his work on the series Smallville (2001), for which he received story and writing credits and served as co-executive producer and showrunner on its eighth season alongside Todd Slavkin. The pair later developed and ran the 2009 revival of Melrose Place.
He has written episodes of No Ordinary Family (2010), Defiance (2013), Dominion (2014), Shadowhunters (2016), Guilt (2016) and The Mysterious Benedict Society (2021), and served as executive producer or showrunner on several of these programmes.
