Biography
Darryl Hammer is a production designer and art director. He has worked in film and television since 1993, progressing from a fine arts background through scenic painting and set decoration.
Hammer's credits include production design on The Girl (2012), for which he received a BAFTA Award for Best Production Design in 2013; Black Butterflies (2011), for which he won a SAFTA Award for Best Production Design; Black Beauty (2020); and The Price of Sugar (2013). He has also served as supervising art director on 24 Hours to Live (2017) and The Last Face (2016), and as production designer on series including Our Girl (2017–2020) and Stonehouse (2023).
He grew up in South Africa and now resides in the United Kingdom.
