Biography
Darya Ekamasova is a Russian theatre and film actress. Born on 20 May 1984 in Moscow, she studied piano at music school before training at the Russian University of Theatre Arts (GITIS) in the workshop of Aleksandr Porokhovshchikov.
She made her stage debut in Vladimir Ageev's "Captive Spirits" and appeared in productions including "Life is Good", which received the Special Jury Prize at the Golden Mask awards in 2010, and "18th Hour". Her film credits include Once Upon a Time There Lived a Simple Woman (2011), for which she received a Nika Award, Legend No. 17 (2013), The Land of OZ (2015), Give Me Liberty (2019) and Anora (2024) as Galina Zakharova. She played Sofia Kovalenko in seasons five and six of the television series The Americans (2017–2018).
