Biography
Dave Cameron is a New Zealand cinematographer with over 25 years of experience in film and television. He trained at Auckland University of Technology, where he studied for a Bachelor of Communication Studies, and began his career as a camera operator on a documentary for Zee Films before working on the long-running series Shortland Street.
Cameron has worked as director of photography on numerous television series and films, including After the Party (2023), for which he won Best Cinematography at the 2024 New Zealand Television Awards, The Gone (2023), One Lane Bridge (2022) and Nowhere Boys (season 2). He has received multiple awards from the New Zealand Cinematographers Society and other bodies for his work on drama series and telefeatures.
