Biography
David A. Simmons is a film and television editor and producer. He began his career in the late 1970s as an assistant editor on features including F.I.S.T. (1978) and ...And Justice for All (1979).
His first credit as editor was on Robert Altman's Popeye (1980). He subsequently edited films such as Blind Fury (1989) and numerous television movies and series, including episodes of Make It or Break It (2009–2010). Simmons has also worked as an associate producer on several television projects.
He is the son of writer and producer Richard Alan Simmons.
