Biography
David Albritton (1913–1994) was an American track and field athlete who appeared uncredited as Self – High Jump, USA in Leni Riefenstahl’s documentary Olympia Part One: Festival of the Nations (1938). The footage captured his participation in the high jump at the 1936 Berlin Olympics, where he won the silver medal.
Born in Danville, Alabama, Albritton competed for Ohio State University. He set a world record in the high jump at the 1936 US Olympic Trials alongside Cornelius Johnson and later served six terms in the Ohio House of Representatives.
