Biography
David Appelbaum is an American television writer and producer. He began his career in Hollywood as a writers' assistant on series including The O.C. and Shark, before joining the writing staff of The Mentalist in 2010.
On The Mentalist he worked as a story editor and executive story editor, and received writing credits on nine episodes across five seasons. He also served as co-producer on the series. Appelbaum later wrote for and produced NCIS: New Orleans, Wisdom of the Crowd and The Enemy Within. He created and wrote for the series La Brea.
