Biography
David Bolen is a Canadian cinematographer based in Los Angeles. He graduated from the University of Southern California film school in 2013 and is a member of the International Cinematographers Guild (IATSE Local 600).
Bolen has worked on feature films including Soni (2018), 1BR (2019), Gone in the Night (2022), Thelma (2024), Primetime (2026) and You Can See Everything (2026). His documentary credits include Some Kind of Heaven (2020), Spermworld (2024) and several episodes of Netflix series such as Untold and Delhi Crime. He has also shot music videos for artists including Camila Cabello, Lil Nas X and Kendrick Lamar.
He received a Daytime Emmy nomination for outstanding cinematography on Live to 100: Secrets of the Blue Zones (2023) and other nominations for his work on music videos and short documentaries.
