Biography
David Duncan (1913–1999) was an American screenwriter and novelist. He began writing full-time in 1946 after a decade in government administration, and started screenwriting in 1953 with the film Sangaree.
Duncan is best known for his work on science-fiction films, including the screenplay for The Time Machine (1960), the adaptation for Fantastic Voyage (1966), and earlier screenplay credit on the 2002 remake of The Time Machine. He also contributed to The Black Scorpion (1957), Monster on the Campus (1958) and The Leech Woman (1960), and wrote episodes for television series such as The Outer Limits and Daniel Boone.
