Biography
David Furr is an American actor who works in theatre, film and television. He was born on 5 June 1972 in Greensboro, North Carolina, and studied theatre at Appalachian State University, graduating in 1994. He later completed an MFA at the Alabama Shakespeare Festival/University of Alabama Professional Actor Training Program.
Furr has appeared in numerous television series, including The Mentalist (2008) as Ian Breitler, Law & Order: Special Victims Unit (2010) as Greg Elding, 13 Hours: The Secret Soldiers of Benghazi (2016) as DS Alec, The Highwaymen (2019) as Detective John Quinn, and The Gilded Age (2023) as Dashiell Montgomery. His stage credits include Broadway revivals of Noises Off (2016) and The Importance of Being Earnest (2011).
He received a Tony Award nomination for Best Featured Actor in a Play for Noises Off and a Screen Actors Guild Award nomination for ensemble work in The Gilded Age.
