Biography
David Grae is an American television writer and producer. He began his career as a staff writer on the series Joan of Arcadia and went on to write for Without a Trace and Gilmore Girls, where he also served as co-producer on the seventh season.
Grae wrote multiple episodes of Castle and rose to executive producer on the series. He later worked as writer and executive producer across all six seasons of Madam Secretary. He is currently an executive producer on When Calls the Heart and has written for the series.
His play Moose Mating (2001) has received regional and international productions and is published by Dramatists Play Service. Grae is co-founder of the Gotham Writers’ Workshop.
