Biography
David Heinz, also credited as David Walsh Heinz, is an American film editor and member of the American Cinema Editors. He began his career in visual effects editing on films including Dawn of the Planet of the Apes (2014), The Jungle Book (2016) and War for the Planet of the Apes (2017) before moving into picture editing.
His editing credits include The Call of the Wild (2020), A Christmas Story Christmas (2022), Adult World (2014) and Deliver Us (2023). He also wrote, directed and edited the independent film American Folk (2017). Heinz trained at Columbia College Chicago.
