Biography
David Korda was a British film producer and financier. Born on 26 May 1937 in Hampstead, London, he was the son of director Zoltan Korda and nephew of producer Alexander Korda. He died on 18 September 2024 in London.
Korda worked as a producer, production manager and completion guarantor, notably with Film Finances. He served as head of production at RKO Pictures and Capella Films. His credits include associate producer on The Ruling Class (1972), producer on Shattered (1991) and executive producer on Two Bits (1995). He also acted as production executive on Hurricane (2018).
He contributed to films such as Hamburger Hill (1987) and The Island on Bird Street (1997), and worked on projects involving directors including Francis Ford Coppola and Terry Gilliam.
