Biography
David Nessim Lawrence, also credited as David N. Lawrence or David Lawrence, is an American composer of film and television scores. He is the son of singers Steve Lawrence and Eydie Gormé.
Lawrence composed the score for the Disney Channel films High School Musical (2006), High School Musical 2 (2007) and High School Musical 3: Senior Year (2008), as well as Descendants (2015), Descendants 2 (2017) and Descendants 3 (2019). His other credits include the American Pie films (1999–2009) and various other Disney Channel productions.
He received ASCAP Film and Television Music Awards for American Pie 2 (2002) and High School Musical 3: Senior Year (2009), and was nominated for a Primetime Emmy Award for his score for Descendants (2016).
