Biography
David Lawrence Brown is a Canadian actor credited as Dave Brown or David Brown. He discovered acting while studying for a Bachelor of Education and graduated from the University of Winnipeg in 1996 with a degree majoring in English and Dramatic Arts. He later completed an MFA in film and new media at the University of Lethbridge in 2017. He has worked steadily in film and television for over twenty years.
Brown has appeared in films including X-Men (2000) as Lead Cop, Death to Smoochy (2002), The Grudge (2019) as Sam Landers, I Still See You (2018), Orphan: First Kill (2022) as Dr. Novotny, and Ordinary Angels (2024) as Bob Green. Television credits include a recurring role as Ben Matheson in Burden of Truth (2018–2021) and appearances in Channel Zero (2016). He has received several ACTRA Manitoba Awards for his performances.
In addition to acting, Brown is a singer-songwriter who fronts the rock band Boss Logan.
