Biography
David M. Israel is an American television producer and writer. Before moving to Los Angeles, he worked as a writer, producer and editor for Major League Baseball Productions in New York, including projects such as This Week in Baseball and New York Mets highlight films.
He has produced and written for series including 3rd Rock from the Sun (1996), Grounded for Life (2001), The Tracy Morgan Show (co-creator, 2003), How to Rock (creator, 2012), About a Boy (writer and co-executive producer, 2014) and Dynasty (2017). In 2005 he and his writing partner Jim O'Doherty signed a development deal with NBCUniversal. He founded David Israel Productions in 2016.
Israel is a graduate of George W. Hewlett High School (1980) and Syracuse University (1984). He has received Emmy and Golden Globe recognition for his work.
