Biography
David Newhouse was a British writer and film editor. Born on 23 March 1919 in England, he died on 21 June 1987 in Malibu, California.
He received a screenplay credit, alongside Alexander Jacobs and Rafe Newhouse, for the 1967 crime film Point Blank, directed by John Boorman and based on Donald E. Westlake’s novel The Hunter. He also wrote the screenplay for Where’s Jack? (1969) and contributed stories to two episodes of the television series The Alaskans (1960).
Newhouse worked extensively as an editor on dozens of film and television productions, including Seconds (1966) and Julie (1972). He received Emmy nominations for his editing work.
