Biography
David S. Rosenthal is an American television writer and producer. He began his career as a writer's assistant on the sitcom Anything but Love before writing for Nurses and Laurie Hill. He co-created the sitcom Ellen (originally titled These Friends of Mine) with Neal Marlens and Carol Black.
Rosenthal wrote for and served as showrunner on Spin City. He joined Gilmore Girls as a writer and producer for season six and was chosen by Amy Sherman-Palladino to replace her as showrunner for the seventh and final season in 2006–2007. He has also written for series including The Middle, Jane the Virgin, 90210, 'Til Death and Eastwick.
