Biography
David Schulner is an American television writer and producer. His career began in the late 1990s with writing credits on Once and Again. He contributed as a writer and co-producer to Desperate Housewives (2004–2005) and wrote episodes for series including Everwood (2002), Miss Match (2003–2004), Kings (2009) and The Event (2010).
In 2015 Schulner became showrunner of Emerald City. He created, wrote for and served as showrunner and executive producer on the NBC series New Amsterdam (2018–2023), which ran for five seasons and 89 episodes. He has also written for Reverie (2018) and Memory of a Killer (2026). Schulner’s production company, Mount Moriah, has an overall deal with Universal Television.
