Biography
David Silva (born David Silva Guglielmeti) was a Mexican actor and occasional producer. He was born on 9 October 1917 in Mexico City and died there on 21 September 1976.
He appeared in more than 100 films, primarily during the Golden Age of Mexican cinema. Silva won an Ariel Award for his leading role as boxer Roberto 'Kid' Terranova in Campeón sin corona (1946). He is also known for performances in El Topo (1970) as The Colonel, The Holy Mountain (1973, uncredited), The Castle of Purity (1973) and Alucarda (1977).
He worked as a producer on a small number of films and was married to Mary Ann Hyde and Paquita Estrada.
