Biography
David Wain is an American comedian, writer, actor and director. Born on 1 August 1969 in Shaker Heights, Ohio, he graduated from New York University in 1991. He was a founding member of the sketch comedy troupe The State and later of Stella, with Michael Showalter and Michael Ian Black.
Wain co-wrote and directed the feature films Wet Hot American Summer (2001), Role Models (2008) and Wanderlust (2012). He has directed episodes of television series including Party Down (2009) and created and directed Childrens Hospital (2008–2016). He has also acted in films such as Role Models and provided voices for Bob's Burgers and American Dad!.
