Biography
Deborah Ayorinde is a British-Nigerian actress. She was born on 13 August 1987 in London, England, and raised in the United States. She graduated from Howard University with a BA in Film Production in 2009 and made her professional stage debut in London in the play Wedding Band.
Her television credits include recurring roles in True Detective (2019) and Luke Cage (2016), and lead roles as Livia 'Lucky' Emory in the anthology series Them (2021–2024) and Nina Richards in Riches (2022). In 2026 she appears as Joy Marshall in the series Fightland. Film roles include Harriet (2019), Girls Trip (2017) and Fatherhood (2021).
Ayorinde received an Independent Spirit Award nomination for her performance in Them and a Stage Debut Award nomination for Wedding Band.
