Biography
Deborah Voigt is an American dramatic soprano. Born on 4 August 1960 in Wheeling, Illinois, she trained as a singer and made her Metropolitan Opera debut in 1991. She is known for leading roles in operas by Wagner and Richard Strauss, including performances broadcast in the Metropolitan Opera HD Live series.
Voigt has also worked in film and television, providing the voice of the Queen of the Clouds and additional voices in the animated miniseries Over the Garden Wall (2014). She published the memoir Call Me Debbie in 2015.
