Biography
Denise Nickerson was an American actress. Born in New York City on 1 April 1957, she began her career as a child performer in television and on stage.
She is best known for her role as Violet Beauregarde in the 1971 film Willy Wonka & the Chocolate Factory. She had recurring roles as Amy Jennings, Nora Collins and Amy Collins in the soap opera Dark Shadows (1968–1970), and played Allison in the children's series The Electric Company (1972–1973). Other credits include appearances in The Brady Bunch and the film Smile (1975).
Nickerson retired from acting in the late 1970s and later worked in administrative roles. She died in Aurora, Colorado, on 10 July 2019.
