Biography
Denise Robert is a Canadian film producer. Born in 1954 in Ottawa, Ontario, she co-founded the Montreal-based production company Cinémaginaire with Daniel Louis in 1988.
She has produced or co-produced numerous Québec and Canadian films, including The Barbarian Invasions (2003), Mambo Italiano (2003), The Rocket (2005), Days of Darkness (2007), 1:54 (2016) and The Fall of the American Empire (2018). Many of her productions have received awards at the Genie Awards, Jutra Awards (now Québec Cinéma) and international festivals.
Robert is married to filmmaker Denys Arcand, with whom she has frequently collaborated through Cinémaginaire.
