Biography
Denny Zeitlin is an American jazz pianist, composer and clinical professor of psychiatry at the University of California, San Francisco. Born on 10 April 1938 in Chicago, Illinois, he has maintained parallel careers in music and medicine since the 1960s.
He composed the score for the 1978 film Invasion of the Body Snatchers, his only film score. Since 1963 he has recorded more than 100 compositions and won first place in the DownBeat International Jazz Critics' Poll in 1965 and 1974.
