Biography
DeWanda Wise is an American actress. She played Kayla Watts in the film Jurassic World Dominion (2022). She is also known for her lead role as Nola Darling in Spike Lee's Netflix series She's Gotta Have It (2017–2019), a contemporary adaptation of his 1986 film.
Wise was born on 30 May 1984 in Jessup, Maryland, and raised in Woodlawn, Laurel and Baltimore. She graduated from New York University's Tisch School of the Arts in 2006 with a BFA in drama and urban studies. Her other credits include Someone Great (2019), The Harder They Fall (2021) and Fatherhood (2021). She is married to actor Alano Miller.
