Biography

Dianne Taylor is a New Zealand screenwriter. She co-created the six-part drama series After the Party (2023) with Robyn Malcolm and wrote for the series, also serving as an executive producer. The series, which aired on TVNZ, received a BAFTA nomination for Best International Show.

Taylor’s earlier screenwriting credits include the feature films Apron Strings (2008) and Beyond the Known World (2017), and the short Hauraki (2011). She studied English at the University of Auckland, where she participated in the Creative Writing Programme led by Witi Ihimaera and Albert Wendt, and later collaborated with Shuchi Kothari on Apron Strings.
