Biography
Dick Hogan (born Dixon Howard Hogan) was an American actor who appeared in more than three dozen films between 1937 and 1948. Born in Little Rock, Arkansas, he began performing while attending the University of Arkansas, singing in local venues before entering the film industry.
Hogan took supporting and uncredited roles in numerous productions, including Action in the North Atlantic (1943) and So Proudly We Hail! (1943). He also appeared in the original stage production of Winged Victory. His final screen performance was as David Kentley in Alfred Hitchcock’s Rope (1948).
After leaving film, Hogan returned briefly to the stage in the 1948 Broadway production Time for Elizabeth.
