Biography

Diego Tenorio is a Mexican cinematographer. Born in Mexico City in 1985, he graduated from the Escuela Nacional de Artes Cinematográficas (CENAT) at the UNAM, where he worked on shorts and the documentary Los reyes del pueblo que no existe (2015).

He collaborated with director Carlos Lenin on the feature La paloma y el lobo (2019), their first project supported through the Ópera Prima programme; the film received an Ariel nomination for best cinematography. Tenorio’s credits include Tótem (2023), for which he won the Lima Film Festival prize for fiction photography and received an Ariel nomination, as well as The Virgin of the Quarry Lake (2025) and various television series.
