Biography
Dimitri Smith is a composer and pianist based in Los Angeles. He has worked extensively in television and film, often in collaboration with other composers.
He co-scored the Netflix series The Diplomat (2023) with Nathan Barr. He later co-scored the Peacock limited series Long Bright River (2025) with James Poyser. Smith has contributed additional music to series including Carnival Row, The Great, Halston, Hollywood and The Morning Show. He co-arranged the main title for Hollywood, which received an Emmy Award for Outstanding Original Main Title Theme Music in 2020.
His feature film credits as composer include The Mystery of Her (2022) and the animated film Unicorn Boy (2023). He has also scored Confession (2022) and provided additional music for Salem’s Lot and Prey for the Devil.
